   Painter, sculptor, graphic artist, etcher, lithograph, and woodcut printmaker. Studied at the Academie Julian in Paris, under W.-A. Bouguereau, at the Ecole des Arts Decoratifs, and in the studio of Guastave Moreau. A major figure in late 19th to early 20th century art, best known for his use of brilliant colors.
